Profile

Malini Agrahar is an elegant performing artist and a choreographer trained in Bharatanatyam and specialized in the 108 Karanas of the Natyasastra.

She has been a practitioner & a performer of the art form for over two decades and has traveled to countries like Australia, Singapore, UK and Ireland.

Malini has been part of many eminent artists' productions and has also been appreciated by art lovers and critics alike for her magnificent stage presence.

Malini started learning dance at the age of seven under the dance couple G.S. Nagesh and Sriranjitha Nagesh and continued to explore dance under Smt. Shama Krishna.

She has a Master of Fine Arts in Bharatanatyam at Sastra University, Tanjore, under the personal guidance of Padmavibhushan Guru Dr.Padma Subrahmanyam.

Malini's dedication and quest for knowledge led her to an intense training in the 108 Karanas of Natyasastra under Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam and Dr. Gayatri Kannan.

She performed her arangetram in 2017 in Bangalore, India and has studied various dance forms including Bharatnatyam and Kathak.

Malini has also taken a keen interest in various facets of Indian classical art forms that complement her dance and help bring out the best in her.

She is a practitioner of Carnatic classical Vocal, Veena, Hatha yoga, visual arts, literature, theater and other integral art forms.
